On April 21st, we joined the students and parents from May Whitney Elementary School as they cleaned up Paulus Park for Earth Day. Here are two students with a HUGE Emerald Ash Borer!
Earlier in the week, they dedicated a tree donated by our good friends over at Bartels Landscape Service. We were able to give each child on the Executive Committee some blinking reflectors, mirrors and pens as a thank-you for their participation. There is a plaque on the tree commemorating the students’ dedication to protecting the environment. We were proud to celebrate Earth Day with May Whitney Elementary.
This is the third year Foley Orthodontics has paired up with a local school for an environmental project. In 2011, we worked with the students at St. Francis de Sales to learn about cotton recycling. In 2010, we sponsored two Ethiopian wells with the students at Spencer Loomis Elementary School.
